Welcome to the Small Cat Conservation Alliance. Thank you for visiting.
Already you can see two of the rarest small cats on earth: the Guigna (or Kodkod) and the stunning Andean mountain cat peeking over a rock.
My purpose here is to help you learn more about small wild cats and to explain my global approach to small cat conservation. You might find it interesting to know that while humankind has set foot on the moon many small cats and indeed other small carnivores remain largely unknown. The sad fact is that most of the cats you will learn about have never been studied before. Populations of most small cats are shrinking and some are disappearing altogether. When the last wild population disappears a species is declared extinct in the wild, a catastrophe that must be avoided.
First let's learn something about the world's cats. Please continue.
