Why is Kalimantan important to cat conservation?
Kalimantan, Indonesia on the island of Borneo has five species of cats: Clouded leopard, Marbled cat, Leopard cat, Flat-headed cat, and the Bay cat. The geographic range of all these species is very poorly known. Lowlands are disappearing rapidily and we simply do not know the conservation status of any of these species anywhere in Borneo.
