Why is Kalimantan important to cat
conservation?

Kalimantan, Indonesia on the island of
Borneo has five species of cats: Clouded
leopard, Marbled cat, Leopard cat,
Flat-headed cat, and the Bay cat.  The
geographic range of all these species is very
poorly known.  Lowlands are disappearing
rapidily and we simply do not know the
conservation status of any of these species
anywhere in Borneo.
