Mission
The mission of Small Cat Conservation Alliance is to ensure the survival of small wild cats
and their natural habitats worldwide.
Events
The Andean Cat Alliance has a meeting in Arequipa, Peru 9-12 April, 2008.  Following this
meeting there will be a field trip to deploy camera traps to get the first pictures of an
Andean cat in Peru.
News
Small Wild Cat Conservation Foundation
was incorporated in California and has applied
to become a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization.  SCCA and the Small Wild Cat
Conservation Endowment Fund will operate under the Foundation.  SCCA will continue its
current mission with operating funds while the Endowment Fund offers partners the
opportunity to make an everlasting difference by contributing to an endowment from which
only interest on the fund is used to support current projects.

Jim Sanderson's work on behalf of the world's small cats is
supported by Wildlife Conservation Network, National Geographic
Society,  US Fish & Wildlife, Feline Conservation Federation,
Houston Zoo staff, and generous support from partner
organizations and individuals.  Jim is a voting member of the IUCN
Cat Specialist Group.
Small Wild Cat Conservation Foundation has two parts: current projects (Small Cat
Conservation Alliance)
, and Small Wild Cat Conservation Endowment Fund (an
endowment fund) that contributes interest to support current projects.
 The Endowment
Fund reached $200,000 in early 2008. You decide where your support goes.
Changes to the IUCN Red List are coming soon.  The number of Endangered cats
species climbs to 6 from 4.  The Tiger, Snow Leopard, Andean Cat, and Bay cat
remain Endangered.  The Flat-headed cat and Fishing cat are Endangered.
