How to organize, store, and analyze camera trap data
(1) Download freeware program Renamer from the internet site:

(2) Create a top-level folder here called All Camera Trap Data
(3) From http://www.SmallCats.org/CTA-Executables.html download and save all 20 files:

 (14) How_to_use_UpdateInput
 (15) How_to_use_MyRenamer
 (16) How_to_use_CorrectInput
 (17) How_to_use_Renamer
 (18) Workshop_presentation
 (19) HarrisChildsThompsonSanderson_CamTrap_EcoSocBull
 (20) Read_Me_First
(4) In folder All Camera Trap Data create a folder here called SpecialCases that will contain all jpg files that do not show the proper date and time on the picture.  MyRenamer will properly relabel these.
(5) In the All Camera Trap Data folder create a folder here called AllLocations that contains all the properly relabeled and stored camera trap pictures in Location/Species/# folders.
(6) In folder All Camera Trap Data create a folder Unsorted where all unsorted pictures can be temporarily stored.

Note that folders All Camera Trap Data can have any name. AllLocations, SpecialCases, and Unsorted can be named whatever you prefer, but must be one word with no embedded blank spaces.
