Steps for using UpdateInput. After entering new camera trap pictures into each Site/Species/Number-of-individuals folder, program DataOrganize is run. This creates new AllPictures.txt and InputTemp.txt files. InputTemp.txt contains new start-stop times, information on new sites, and conatins place-holders (0000s) for UTM and elevation. Program UpdateInput automatically merges the old Input.txt file that contains start times, UTM, and elevation entered by the user with the new InputTemp.txt to create InputNew.txt. InputNew.txt is then edited by the user to create Input.txt that is used in the DataAnalyze. (1) Relabel the previously created Input.txt that has the UTM, elevation, and new first line as InputOld.txt. (2) DataOrganize has produced a new InputTemp.txt (3) Double-click on UpdateInput. This creates InputNew.txt that can now be easily edited to update the stop dates of the cameras if they differ from the last picture taken at the site, and the site and species list that will be analyzed.
