Steps for using DataOrganize. Note that you will likely be repeating this step since there are invariably errors in the way the camera trap pictures have been stored. These pilot errors must be corrected one at a time. (1) The folder containing all camera trap location folders (each with their species and number-of-individuals folders) must be one word. Folder names such as AllLocations, Sevilleta, Desert_National_wildlife_Refuge work. Names with embedded blanks like All Locations will not work. Let's assume this folder is named AllLocations. (2) Execute DataOrganize by double-clicking on the file. (3) Type the precise name of the folder that contains all the location folders. Then ENTER. (4) Let DataOrganize run to completion. If there are no errors in the way the camera trap pictures have been stored, the message TERMINATING NORMALLY will appear. In this case files AllPictures.txt and InputTemp.txt have been created. If, not then there was an error. Inspect AllInfo.txt and AllFoldersFiles.txt to help you fix the error in the way the camera trap pictures have been stored. If the message TERMINATING NORMALLY does not appear, and AllPictures.txt and InputTemp.txt have not been created then with 100% there is an error in the way the data was stored.
